Small Grants Initiative in Full Swing! The GWG Small Grants Initiative is ON FIRE! We’ve received over 70 submissions so far and have had more than 20 successful recipients with another 9 about to be voted on by our awesome Committee. Due to overwhelming support, there are now 14 communities participating in this initiative! We are super excited to see this program continue to grow and develop.   Content: Dear ApeCoin Community, I am pleased to share the transparency report for June and July. These reports will continue to be shared monthly, reflecting our commitment to transparency within our working groups. June: Wrapping Up Elections and Kicking Off New Initiatives The ApeCoin DAO elections were a success, and we are thrilled to welcome 5 new stewards and 1 new special council member to the DAO. Their contributions will be invaluable as we continue to push the DAO forward. The new members are: @DeSmart @Yumi @Johnny_ 2 @PhilWatkins @romantik @mo_ezz 14 We also had @AllCityBAYC and @Waabam who were reelected to their roles! In addition, we have officially kicked off the APE_U initiative, designed to bring more educational opportunities and resources to our community and AIP Authors. We encourage everyone to engage and make the most of these new learning avenues. Check out this tweet to learn more! We are also excited to announce that ShotgunTobi has joined us full-time as a content creator and program coordinator. She has been a massive contributor to the GWG, and we are super excited to have her on the team! July: New Tools and Programs for Greater Efficiency In July, we launched a new accounting platform, Request Finance, which will significantly streamline our financial operations. This platform will help us track budgets more effectively and simplify service provider payments, ensuring that our financial processes are as transparent and efficient as possible. Additionally, we are proud to announce the launch of the ApeCoin GWG x UMA Small Grants Program. This initiative is designed to support innovative projects within our community. A few grants have already been awarded to community members (Mutants Beer, ApesPlus), and we look forward to seeing the impact these projects will have on the DAO. Finally, we held a Global Community Committee call with our global delegate community, where we discussed several important topics, including AIPs and the development of ApeChain. These discussions are crucial for aligning our global community and ensuring that we move forward with a shared vision. We had 13 AIPs passed during the months of June and July!   Content: Dear ApeCoin Community, I am pleased to present the transparency report for May. My ongoing focus remains on enhancing our operational efficiencies and organizing our internal processes. Our behind-the-scenes efforts are dedicated to streamlining various functions of the DAO, ensuring greater effectiveness in our activities. You can expect these reports monthly as we strive for transparency within our working groups. Elections in Full Swing This month marks the beginning of our election cycle, during which we are filling 8 seats within the DAO. We will be appointing two Special Council seats, two seats in the Governance Working Group, two seats in the Web 3 Development Working Group, and one seat each in the Metaverse and Marcomms Working Groups. The election process is well underway, and we are excited to see who will step into these crucial roles. As voting kicks off this week, we highly encourage you to participate! Successful Participation at NFC Lisbon We had a fantastic presence at NFC Lisbon, a significant event for both ApeCoin and ApeChain. It was an excellent opportunity to connect with numerous individuals and projects in the Web 3 space. The ApeCoin team was center stage on multiple panels discussing ApeChain, governance, metaverse/gaming topics, and much more. Check out the photos below from the event!
