  Content: Yes, all proposals must ask for funding denoted in $APE. Our DAO Treasury is $APE, We are the $APE DAO. Logistically speaking, it’s sensible for us to keep track of our actual $APE, not the value of $APE in USD because it’s unpredictable. I didn’t add a + or - minus to the AIP because I think it lends itself to too much wiggle room. Ask for a fixed amount. The DAO doesn’t have to want to guess what you may or may not want in the future. Your ask is already an estimation of on several factors but if you believe in $APE, you’ll ask for $APE. Tired of people treating the DAO like it’s an ATM for Cash. I get it’s hard to say a fixed number when the coin fluctuates in value, but it works both ways. The DAO is # 1 and its easier, safer and better to track our treasury in $APE. Small Edit: I appreciate your opinion. If more people like the ranged idea, could be a useful implementation.

  Content: This doesn’t change the welcoming nature of the DAO. And as it stands, this AIP wouldn’t change that having a 1 APE isn’t enough. More money of course doesn’t equal smarter AIPs. We aren’t categorizing people, we’re categorizing AIPs. The number # 1 people look at of any proposal is to see what the Overall Cost is. There’s an inherent prejudice to see who’s asking and for how much. I want to remove that. I want people that are making proposal to focus on the quality and depth of their idea and for the DAO to focus on those same things. But sometimes a user’s stake in the DAO vs their ask is a huge issue for most members because it feels disproportional and that sometimes is of no fault of the person. A person shouldn’t be held back just because their economics are lesser than others. So my proposal leaves room for it. Nothing saying that DAO member A with 1 $APE can’t have a genius idea and just Co-author with a friend, mentor, sponsor, collaborator, supporter, you name it and has more $APE. Now we have more community, collaboration and minds working on a great idea.

  Content: I know I’ve addressed this over X with you but wanted to follow up here as well. The DAO currently is a playground for anyone. This proposal doesn’t stop people from making them or benefit the rich from making them. It’s aimed to reduce time spent in the AIP process by allowing members to make AIPs that feel weighted proportional to a proposer’s commitment or stake in the DAO. Everyone is important. And anyone with 1 $APE can easily collaborate and co-author a proposal. This AIPs objective is to speed up the process, attempt to prevent low-quality AIPs, avoid harassment on a DAO member’s weight in the DAO, and make sure due diligence is done.

PROPOSAL NAME: Create a Special Council Marker for AIPs PROPOSAL CATEGORY: Process ABSTRACT: This proposal aims to create a marker designated for AIPs created by the ApeCoin DAO Special Council as individuals and as a group. The goal of the marker is to provide a platform for the standing Special Council members if and when they create AIPs regarding the ecosystem in any way such as changes/improvements to the DAO or integrations/opportunities for the DAO. Special Council can write AIPs and act on feedback from the community, and as the community, we want to give them the toolset to act on that feedback without it needing to be us acting for them. Powerful for the Special Council to highlight their contributions and for the community to observe this more openly and measurably. BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM: Special Council AIPs are highlighted and brought up easier and more accessible to users. Special Council AIPs provide a platform that can and should stand out from the other AIPs. Not for being better, but for being brought up by our elected stewards of the foundation. The DAO will have a measurable form on which to judge our Special Council through written AIPs, successful and failures, execution, and even quantity so at then end, we, as a community, have a physical thing on which to judge, criticize, or praise our SC members and lead us to make an educated decision when voting begins again. KEY TERMS: Special Council Marker would be a Tag automatically paired to any AIP written by any standing SC member(s). PLATFORMS & TECHNOLOGIES: forum.apecoin.com and Snapshot will have a marker/tag to denote the SC-written AIPs either in the form AIP- 3 XX (SC) or SC/AIP-XX of some form. STEPS TO IMPLEMENT & TIMELINE: Standing SC members will be given a Special Council role on the forum and given access to a SC Marker to create AIPs. OVERALL COST: 0 $APE

  • CryptoLogically: What if an active Special Council member wants to write an AIP, but as a community member? Would the tag be compulsory, or optional? Also, you mention: DareVader: Special Council AIPs provide a platform that can and should stand out from the other AIPs. Not for being better, but for being brought up by our elected stewards of the foundation. Would this same argument not also extend to, say, Governance Working Group Stewards? Or Metaverse Stewards? Or MarComms Stewards? Is their omission here deliberate? Also, doesn’t providing distinctive treatment of an AIP group potentially run contrary to the Guiding Values of the DAO? Just a couple thoughts that crossed my mind as I read this proposal. Thanks for starting this discussion.

PROPOSAL NAME: Create a Tier System Marker for AIPs PROPOSAL CATEGORY: Process ABSTRACT: This proposal aims to create a tiered system set of markers known as Tiers from 0 - 3 . These markers will be used to create an easy-to-understand weight of ask plus a commitment to the ApeCoin DAO by easily communicating a proposer’s commitment to the DAO by their $APE holdings and how much they ask about that. Effectively allowing small stakeholders in the DAO to still make proposals and get funding about what they can do and larger players to execute at a larger scale. But enough wiggle room that anyone or any idea can indeed be brought to the table still. BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM: Any $APE holder can still submit an AIP Prevent low-quality AIPs Optimize proposal process by automating the markers which in turn means more high-quality proposals = less time in review or edits = overall cost of operations is reduced, Members enter AIPs with a clear understanding before reading them how much they hold vs how much they ask allowing for a more open discussion. Sponsorship forces DAO members to think, iterate, and back ideas they support long before a vote. Sponsored AIPs give us a look into how a person/group asking for 100 , 000 + $APE can handle and manage key ideas when submitting an AIP. Prevent outsiders looking to “cash-in” a quick AIP The biggest benefit is the prevention of wasted time in the proposal, review, and voting process while still ensuring that the process is fair and reasonable. Anyone who truly has a million-dollar idea worth it for the DAO, will partner with or get a sponsor to back them and push an AIP. If a member finds these guidelines too challenging, then it’s reasonable to assume that they shouldn’t receive 100 , 000 + $APE. KEY TERMS: The Tiers are explained below: Tier 0 = An AIP that has 0 $APE being requested. Open to anyone. Tier 1 = An AIP that is requesting 1 - 10 , 000 $APE. Proposers must have at least 1 $APE. Tier 2 = An AIP that is requesting 10 , 001 - 100 , 000 $APE. Proposers must have at least 10 , 000 $APE. Tier 3 = An AIP that is requesting 100 , 001 + $APE. Proposers must have at least 10 , 000 $APE and a Sponsor. Sponsor(s) = Person and/or Group that controls 100 , 000 + $APE. PLATFORMS & TECHNOLOGIES: Using forum.apecoin.com and Snapshot STEPS TO IMPLEMENT & TIMELINE: When a proposer goes to compose his AIP officially on the forum for submission, create a pop-up prompt asking what Tier is the AIP. If Tier 3 , an additional prompt asking for relevant information in regards to sponsorship such as person/group name, wallet address for $APE holding verification, and any relevant links. The forum account is already connected to a desired wallet and should be able to authenticate a user’s holdings to verify Tier-level access. OVERALL COST: 0 $APE

Allowing any person to download the template and immediately start composing their AIP and sharing it with others for opinions, feedback, and insight before submitting it in AIP Ideas. The current template only exists as a web page or auto-integrated into the draft submission, making it difficult or impede speediness and collaborative behavior. BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM: Easily accessible downloadable template will help users immediately act on ideas via mobile or desktop rather than having to search for a web page template and/or be forced to start a new topic and then see a draft that’s locked inside the submission page. Deleting the need of having to copy and paste into a Google Docs link to be more visually friendly, sharing for collaboration, and easier to note-take and correct/overview your key points and possible errors. More users have left Discord to avoid the plethora of scams, and notifications and being bombarded with direct messages. Telegram is an effective way to cater to an expanding audience who prefers and more simplified experience while also staying in the know about all things $APE. The ApeCoin DAO can create and control a Telegram server that communicates all updates, hosts a community, and provides information on the DAO. BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM: Opens up the DAO to a broader audience. Another avenue for information and socialization. A more accessible form of interaction with the DAO. KEY TERMS: Telegram is the 4 th largest messaging platform in the world behind WhatsApp, WeChat, and Facebook Messenger. A larger user base than Discord. PLATFORMS & TECHNOLOGIES: Telegram Group Server STEPS TO IMPLEMENT & TIMELINE: . Create a Telegram Group Server 2 . Add needed team and admins by migrating over from Discord. 3 . Create necessary channels for Announcements, AIPs, Links, and Chat. 4 . Self-audit 5 . Release a public link to join the Telegram Group 6 . Add the official link to ApeCoin.com, Discord, and X.   • CythinaL: DareVader: Create necessary channels for Announcements, AIPs, Links, and Chat. A telegram server with multiple channels is inconvenient to administer, the function has not yet been finalized and splitting into channels does not always help. Most large servers operate without channels. DareVader: Release a public link to join the Telegram Group Personally, my opinion is that it is better to make the group private and not create a “public” link. People can click on temporary links from discord, this will save them from a large number of scammers. Annli: There is no less fraud there than in discord, in some cases even more I agree. There is much more fraud in telegram.

PROPOSAL NAME: ApeCoin DAO Sponsors Delegation PROPOSAL CATEGORY: Ecosystem Fund Allocation ABSTRACT: This proposal aims to increase awareness and incentivize more $APE holders to delegate their ApeCoin to people and/or groups they support to add more $APE into the overall DAO ecosystem. The DAO will sponsor delegation for users who wish to delegate that have 50 + $APE. This means a user can come to https://delegate.apecoin.com/ and select to delegate a person/group and sign and done. The DAO will handle the backend transaction by paying the gas fee. BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM: Delegated Individuals/Groups can raise more $APE more effectively. The DAO is investing in growth and user base by expanding its exposure. Users can delegate and have an optimized experience. PLATFORMS & TECHNOLOGIES: Will need to implement a technology to handle the on-chain gas fees as they come in to be settled right away. STEPS TO IMPLEMENT & TIMELINE: Add a layer to view how much $APE a user has to auto-trigger a sponsored delegation. Only delegating gets sponsored, not un-delegating. OVERALL COST: 0 $APE

  Content: PROPOSAL NAME: Add Guideline to have AIPs request only in $APE PROPOSAL CATEGORY: Process ABSTRACT: This proposal aims to create a guideline that requires a proposal maker requesting funding to denominate their request in $APE rather than USD but allows for the ability to add the estimated value in USD for reference. The goal is to remind and reinforce that we are the ApeCoin community with a treasury denominated in $APE. Proposal makers that truly support our DAO, will plan to the best of their ability to receive and manage funds in $APE giving us a better context as to how much of our treasury is being used. Our treasury has a dwindling amount of $APE that we can accurately track spending, but granting AIPs in USD, allows us to lose track of our treasury due to the nature of $APE value fluctuating. BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM: DAO Treasury Bookkeeping made easier We honor our ethos of being the ApeCoin DAO It reinforces to others that we are $APE not USD therefore asking for money should keep our currency at the forefront of their proposal. PLATFORMS & TECHNOLOGIES: ApeCoin Forum + Snapshot STEPS TO IMPLEMENT & TIMELINE: Add to the current guidelines of AIP creation to request funding in $APE with the ability to share the estimated USD Value currently at the time of the proposal.
