Apecoin the Sequel: Apecoin 69 Turbo
by Grimyfrankie - No Role

Content: Thanks for your comments. I wanted to address a few points you made:
While this asks for significantly less money than a similar proposal, I don’t think draining the treasury in the form of a stimulus for individuals who may or may not be actively participating in moving the space forward is the best use of treasury funds. - the part of this I am the most unsure about is how to most fairly distribute the airdrops in a way prevent any benefit from reaching conflicting special interests (like mocaverse) and venture capital beyond what they’ve already been able to extract. I am open to any suggestions as far as where the stimulus would go, understand that some may not agree with apes and mutants getting it but also something needs to be said for how deeply this DAO is able to be manipulated by a few powerful parties - and that quick measures need to be taken to prevent them from exploiting any further. Perhaps a drop to all Yuga collections. I would like to reward each holder of 1 apecoin but have a feeling that while there are many active members there are many bots with low balances being used for what are effectively Sybil attacks on the DAO.
Do you agree with this sentiment but disagree with an airdrop/who the airdrop would be going to or do you disagree with the entire concept?
With as many creative and dedicated people as we have wanting to push this ecosystem forward, I’m confident we’ll find ways to incentivize and reward ApeCoin advocates.
[/quote] while I agree with this, I am concerned that the amount of time and opportunity cost that will be spent if people subdue their frustrations and allow these interests to continue quietly utilizing the DAO the way they have been suggests an urgent and time sensitive need for intentionally allocating the remainder of the treasury.

Apecoin the Sequel: Apecoin 69 Turbo
by Grimyfrankie - No Role

Content: Apecoin the Sequel: Apecoin 69 Turbo:
TEAM DESCRIPTION:
My name is grimy frankie. I am not very relevant. I once ran for apecoin special council and just wanted to re-offer this solution during apecoin’s time of need
No relevant professional and academic history to include
My preferred communication platform is twitter handle @grimyfrankie
PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION:
so we blew it. it happens. daos are weird. now a bunch of powerful special interests have ruined the fun for monkey token. there is one simple solution that would make everyone happy. Free stimmy. Free stimmy tokens. do it. you know you want to. I present the sequel to this adventure:
APECOIN 69 : TURBO
BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM:
Right now, people don’t like apecoin. If you give them a new token for free and act less serious all the time, they will like apecoin again. Another reason people don’t like apecoin is because interests are going to attempt to drain the treasury for all we’ve got as soon as they figure out if they can make the AIP pass by buying off special council members without integrity even though no one wants it.
The answer is simple:
You give the money to apes before the VCs and special interests literally steal it.
I think if you made Apecoin 69 : turbo - people would be happy that you gave them something. The money would also be better in the pockets of the community rather than special interests or frankly half the stuff that passes. I also think that they would see apes taking themselves less seriously and have a better public image. I think those are two very serious benefits to the ecosystem - people actually being happy/liking apecoin, and apecoin’s public image
DEFINITIONS:
Don’t think any are necessary. If I refer to a token its probably Apecoin 69 : Turbo. VC means venture capital. when i refer to apes and mutants I mean bored ape yacht club and mutant ape yacht club
STEPS TO IMPLEMENT:
Take money, put it in a liquidity pool for Apecoin 69 : Turbo, drop the token to some early holder snapshot. I don’t know the best way to determine who to airdrop. I don’t think its fair to drop to everyone that held the whole time because that turned out to be a poor financial decision and you’ll end up dropping half of apecoin: 69 turbo back to the vcs. You could drop it to current holders, but you’ll probably run into the same situation with VCs trying to buy the tokens. I personally think the money should be dropped to apes/mutants (and gucci grails, I already know everyone will shoot that part down but i had to throw it in) - because they’re probably more real humans, and if VCs own the NFTs they at least have more of an interest and a desire to actually make the ape and apecoin community succed - rather than the current apecoin holders that are incentivized to continue sucking out money and manipulating proposals.
After airdropping token to apes, burn the liquidity. The full 2 . 1 million dollars. It will be a purposeful slerf like nothing you’ve ever seen. Thats why I included the word “turbo” in the name. You can do it on base which will make it fee free basically and easy to drop to ETH addresses, or solana if you want to setup a claim. I think either chain would go nuts after a 2 . 1 million dollar liq burn
if there are any issues that prevent apecoin from launching their own token, then I alternatively propose you literally just make a pump fun token (or let me do it) and put the money in their since its fair launch and then send it to apes proportionally.
Start date: immediately, before the rest of the money is drained
Milestones:
Creating token: Apecoin 69 : Turbo
Sending token to apes/mutants
Burning or locking the funds for this proposal in the liquidity pool
Done. That’s it. Only 3 milestones and apecoin is saved.
I don’t think there are really many associated costs, personnel, and platforms needed for each step. If you want ill do the whole thing for like $ 100
OVERALL COST:
Present your grant request using the following format:
“Total amount requested from the ApeCoin Ecosystem Fund = $ 2 , 100 , 000 .”
Notice that the amount that would go in the liquidity pool and the total amount needed is exactly how much is being proposed for a literal marketing booth in asia - and then imagine that money going to you and your friends instead of VC. DO THE RIGHT THING and burn it in a liq pool for the apes and for the culture.
Again, if you really need someone to launch the token for you ill do it for $ 100 or just make a pump.fun
REPORTING EXPECTATIONS:
I really don’t expect this to take very long. Reporting will be done at each of the milestones above via the official apecoin twitter.

Address clearly inequitable staking yields
by Grimyfrankie - No Role
Posted on: Dec. 14, 2023, 10:20 a.m.
Content: I agree with being frank - I do not really care if there are people that hold $APE without any NFTs in a discord together, I think separating $APE from the NFTs they were created for and largely are associated with is one of the most shortsighted things the DAO has been doing. I think the $APE only pool is the pool that is draining the value of ape and dumping it and for people who aren’t even making a financial commitment for any period of time. The yield for any category of staking does not compensate for the loss of value in apecoin, because it is basically a scamcoin that has lost 90 % of its value and is trying to play itself off as the future of gaming while still giving people who do nothing but hold ape and stake 100 % APY for absolutely no commitment (no substantial time or money commitment to earn these rewards). And I am aware of that large part of the DAO that thinks that “Apecoin” (who literally shares a logo with BAYC) should move away from NFTs entirely - I disagree with them staunchly and think that it is a stupid idea. The only reason anyone even knows what $APE is is because of BAYC and NFTs and I wouldn’t be surprised if the coin dwindles down to 0 once the DAO moves to separate from the only thing people know it for and instead reward most the people who have committed the absolute least in terms of time or money

- leyota: I do not really care if there are people that hold $APE without any NFTs in a discord together,
This is the main discord where a lot of the official contributors are active. Other than this forum, that’s the other common “hangout”. It’s not some niche discord with a bunch of apecoin holders.
I think separating $APE from the NFTs they were created for and largely are associated with is one of the most shortsighted things the DAO has been doing.
The founding docs make no mention about NFTs being the primary driver of the DAO. If this was the case, voting would be NFT based like the MocaDAO. But it’s not.
I think the $APE only pool is the pool that is draining the value of ape and dumping it and for people who aren’t even making a financial commitment for any period of time.
To get ApeCoin you can either stake the NFTs and get it for free, or buy the coin with money. People who own only ApeCoin actually got it by buying it, not for free as you seem to suggest. How is that not financial commitment? If someone has > 100K apecoin, and no NFTs, which there are plenty, how do they not have a significantly larger financial commitment than you? By your logic shouldn’t they have the largest say since they have the most financial commitment? On top of that they have lost a lot of value if they held it from the highs.
because it is basically a scamcoin that has lost 90% of its value and is trying to play itself off as the future of gaming
Interesting that you think this but at the same time you demand more of this scamcoin.
At the end of the day the DAO was created around ApeCoin, not the NFTs.

stake 100% APY for absolutely no commitment
I think we need the actual APYs from apestake, BendDAO and Parallel listed here for accurate comparison.

Address clearly inequitable staking yields
by Grimyfrankie - No Role
Posted on: Dec. 14, 2023, 12:41 a.m.
Content: I am writing to address the recent changes in the staking proportions within our ecosystem. After careful consideration, I believe these adjustments have led to an imbalance, particularly affecting the MAYC NFT holders. I am of the view that this revision warrants a re-examination for the following reasons:
Disproportionate Impact on MAYC Holders: The new staking structure appears to have disproportionately affected the returns for MAYC NFT holders. Given the significant value of these NFTs, currently estimated around $ 13 , 000 , it seems counterintuitive that their staking yields in $APE are now lower than those in the $APE-only pool. This disparity raises concerns about equitable treatment of different asset holders within our community.
Questioning the Existence of the $APE-Only Pool: The current structure, which includes the $APE-only staking pool, demands a re-evaluation. The fundamental purpose of staking pools, in my understanding, is to incentivize and reward long-term holding and contribution to the ecosystem. However, the $APE-only pool, in its present form, seems to challenge this principle by offering higher returns without the same level of investment or commitment as that required by NFT holders.
I propose the following for consideration:
Reassessment of Staking Yields: Conduct a thorough review of the staking yields, particularly focusing on the balance between the $APE-only pool and the NFT staking pools. The goal should be to ensure fairness and incentivize holding of higher-value assets like MAYC NFTs.
Community Discussion and Feedback: I encourage an open forum for community members to express their views and provide feedback on this matter. This would ensure that any adjustments made reflect the consensus and interests of the broader community.
In conclusion, while I understand the complexities involved in managing staking structures, I strongly believe that addressing these concerns will contribute to a more balanced and equitable ecosystem. I look forward to a constructive dialogue and am eager to hear thoughts and suggestions from fellow community members. I know that these staking allocations were determined through a previous AIP and are based on underlying NFT price, but the resulting yield setup is clearly inequitable and broken.

Revival of 10ktf Weekly Shows
by Grimyfrankie - No Role
Posted on: Dec. 1, 2023, 7:03 p.m.
Content: The show attendance metrics are actually quite high and publicly available - the show is distributed as tweets (and I assume on other social media platforms) but at least on twitter you can see metrics like reach, views, likes, reposts, etc. publicly. So I could probably put together a report on that if there was significant community interest
I am not sure how to gather the data on recycling during those times though. I also don’t think the show would lead to an immediate spike in recycling (aside from shows that incentivize recycling, which have occurred in the past) because they happen every week. The idea would be more like gradually onboarding people into 10 ktf (and onboarding appreciative current 10 ktf participants into the DAO), where apecoin is natively spent, and additionally using the reach of 10 ktf to bring speculation and awareness for apecoin as people see “apecoin original” or “presented by $ape” or whatever on every part of the show (usually 4 tweets over an hour once a week that are either animations or images, pretty cheap stuff). Depending on the reach alone it may be a good way to advertise, but also probably not if done for the same price Yuga was doing it before (could basically fiverr that stuff out if it was needed)
Anyway thank you for your encouragement and taking the time to comment on/entertain this

Content: That’s the reason I think the 10 ktf show would be a positive momentum creator for apecoin too after being an avid member of bayc and 10 ktf. But I don’t have any kind of numbers and you’re right I’m sure it’s not an immediately profitable endeavor based on Yuga’s actions, but it being profitable doesn’t really mean it doesn’t create buying pressure for $APE it did the whole time while it wasn’t profitable for yuga. but I do think it would create buying pressure, speculative and some actually used

Content: Yeah this is an AIP idea so I don’t have proof for you as to why promoting 10 ktf leads to people purchasing $ape to participate in 10 ktf sorry monkey chief
Genuine question, where do you think buying pressure for $APE comes from?
