Bear in mind if your open to it I reckon it would be worth offering the community the chance to beta test now before the proposal goes to vote.

Though I had planned to hire some members from our community back when my game AIP-316 (up for vote today!) was more ambitious, I would still be looking to utilize this beta testing initiative if in fact the AIP passes and the token is thus adopted for the game.

Beta Testing Group AIP-300 Passed!
by Hangout - Accepted AIP Author
Posted on: Sept. 20, 2023, 9:41 a.m.
Content: Abstract
AIP- 300 has been successfully passed and so the Beta Testing Group is Alive!
Its open to all who wish to participate, including brand new community members who wish to have a tangible way to contribute and any project seeking to have an AIP passed.
Objective
The Beta Testing Group seeks to provide projects valuable user feedback that enhances project quality and ensures the community’s voice is heard. This supports Project’s quests to have their AIPs passed. Community members acting as Beta Testers provide significant value to the community.
For a project that a member tests that is passed, then they will be awarded a custom Forum badge, showcasing the title “Beta Tester” and the description “Participant of the Beta Testing Program.”
Process
Any projects interested in being tested please post on this thread. Hangout can then pick up the conversation with the project owner in DM to organise the creation of the specific Beta Testing Survey that provides most value to the Project owners.
A Project specific Beta Testing thread will be created along with a link to the survey to be completed by Beta Testers. This Thread becomes the place for testers to interact with the project and provide open 2 way communication.
Upon the project successfully passing its AIP those testers who have contributed will be awarded the Beta Testing Badge.
Any questions please reach out to me directly!

AIP-300: Create Custom “Beta Tester” Forum Badge
by Hangout - Accepted AIP Author
Posted on: Aug. 14, 2023, 8:10 a.m.
Content: This would work by encouraging people to meaningfully engage in projects being built in the space and providing recognition for that engagement.
Any project at AIP Idea stage or above can be put forward for testing. Then its up to individual testers to decide if they want to spend time testing or not.

AIP-300: Create Custom “Beta Tester” Forum Badge
by Hangout - Accepted AIP Author

Content: Proposal Name
Create Custom “Beta Tester” Forum Badge
Proposal Category
Process
Abstract
Embracing the values of the DAO, Hangout and Vulkan have taken the initiative to establish a Beta Testing Group, offering invaluable feedback on projects free of charge. Open to all who wish to participate, from users to project contributors, the group has already successfully completed its initial version. Now, it is time to elevate the program by introducing policies, procedures, and structure. To achieve this, this proposal suggests creating a custom “Beta Tester” badge on the Forum, symbolizing legitimacy and fostering a sense of belonging and accomplishment for its members.
Future plans encompass expanding the program’s scope, reaching beyond the DAO, and providing user feedback to external projects. Additionally, the group aims to act as a bridge between communities, encouraging interaction and coordination, resulting in enhanced opportunities for collaboration.
Author Description
This proposal is co-authored by Hangout and @Vulkan
Hangout is a veteran of early-stage enterprise. Founded two international head hunting businesses ( 2 exits), working currently on a 3 rd recruitment venture in the Crypto Space. Member of WG 0 and sometime Regular on Discourse.
Vulkan is a Secretary of the DAO (via AIP- 239 ) and the author of a DAO Newsletter called “The Bulletin Bored” (via AIP- 66 ). He also has 10 + years of experience as a software tester.
Motivation
This proposal seeks to embody the community’s values by promoting Boldness, encouraging members not to shy away from embracing the weird, the hard, or the new. The core motivation lies in collaboration with the ApeCoin Community.
The proposed badge aims to imbue the Beta Testing Group with credibility and foster a profound sense of achievement and community among its participants. As the program evolves, it will play a pivotal role in enhancing project quality, not only within the DAO but also in external ventures, thanks to the incorporation of valuable user feedback. This group would act as a bridge between communities with interaction and coordination leading to increased opportunities for collaboration.
Equality is at the heart of this initiative, affirming that “One APE equals one APE,” valuing each member’s contribution equally. Any Ape can effortlessly contribute by joining the Beta Testing community.
Rationale
The Beta Testing Group’s primary goal is to offer feedback that enhances project quality and ensures the community’s voice is heard, aligning perfectly with the principle of Collective Responsibility, leaving everything better than we found it.
Transparent processes and decisions are foundational to this proposal, harmonizing with the community’s value of Transparency. Badges serve as a transparent representation of the value provided.
Benefit to ApeCoin Ecosystem
The custom “Beta Tester” badge will kindle a profound sense of camaraderie and pride among the participants, fostering greater engagement within the group. Additionally, this initiative marks the beginning of outreach efforts to external communities, facilitating collaboration and cooperation with the DAO community, in harmony with the Persistence value, understanding that success is an ouroboros, not a straight line.
Specifications
A custom Forum badge will be developed, showcasing the title “Beta Tester” and the description “Participant of the Beta Testing Program.” The badge image will be thoughtfully designed and selected by the Community to accurately represent the Testing Group’s purpose.
Steps to Implement
The Community Discourse Facilitator Team (with the assistance of the DAO Administrator team) will create a custom Forum Badge.
Badge Name = “Beta Tester”
Badge Description = “Participant of the Beta Testing Program”
Badge Image = Selected by Facilitators to accurately reflect a Testing Group
Badge Group = “Community”
Hangout will coordinate with the Community Discourse Facilitator Team to manually add the badge to the correct users.
Timeline
The implementation will begin immediately upon approval.
Overall Cost
$ 0 (It will be realized through existing resources and the collective efforts of the community).

Reevaluating Discobot: Is It Time for Improvement or Removal
by Hangout - Accepted AIP Author

Content: Yes I remember this, getting through its ‘help’ was a bit of a challenge!
I seem to remember that it was actually pretty simple but the text was quite misleading? Are we are to change the text to make it clearer what you need to do to pass this ‘test’!

Content: My two cents, to keep things simple have the updates in the AIP thread. Means there is one place to see all the relevant information on an AIP.
