• Implementation Update | AIP-434: [Resubmission] Other Page: A Player Network & Rewards Hub for ApeChain by MIKER - Accepted AIP Author

  Content: Milestone 2 Progress Update We’ve completed requirements for our ApeCoin incentives distribution including our approach to sybil protection and basic token distribution mechanics. Overview: Security: All ApeCoin funds are held in multisig Gnosis Safe smart contract wallets with the ability to trigger transfers via API on an as-needed basis. Sybil protection: accounts are deemed “real users” through on-chain holding analysis and connected social account analysis. Accounts are validated prior to any reward/nft distributions. OFAC compliance: is maintained via IP blocking of sanctioned IPs as well as address validation against the USDC blocklist. Further KYC requirements are being investigated on an as-needed basis for our customers. Lastly, our team has brought on a top-tier compliance consultant on an advisory basis.

Although our official launch date is still to be determined, we anticipate finishing all proposal milestones well ahead of the originally projected June, 2024 timeframe.   Content: GM ApeCoin DAO! We’ve been heads down over the last couple of months working hard to stay on track with our timeline, however, we’re overdue for an update on our progress!   Content: Appreciate your candid feedback Kodama. To answer your questions: kodama: Will you raise a Seed Round by your VCs as well? Yes, We plan to pursue additional fundraising in the near future for Other Page kodama: Why are you not offering the DAO equity? After consulting with our counsel they suggested that we avoid giving equity to the DAO to avoid potential legal risks and complicating future raises that we plan to do. Additionally, multiple projects that we’ve spoken with that have attempted to give the DAO equity are experiencing added legal complexity. Lastly, equity is actually a much longer time frame (~ 5 + years) and a higher risk type of return for the DAO in comparison to immediate use cases for ApeCoin/Chain. kodama: I am just tired of the DAO funding startups and getting nothing in return. We believe our project brings considerable value to the DAO, which we’ve outlined in the BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM section of the proposal, particularly promoting the usage of ApeCoin & facilitating ApeChain user onboarding. Arguably, the # 1 thing the DAO needs to generate revenue is a high volume of transactions on ApeChain and additional use cases for ApeCoin to drive demand. We’re confident Other Page helps with both in a big way.

  Content: Thanks @VonFrontin! VonFrontin: Would this just be available for Web 3 native users with supported PFPs, or could this be designed to expand in order to bring “normies” into the ecosystem. Absolutely, we have plans in the near future to support embedded wallets (no seed phrase needed), and can collaborate with any project to bring their 2 d/ 3 d avatars in to our profiles.
