Vulkan - Notice of Resignation Effective March 31, 2024
by Vulkan - Accepted AIP Author
Posted on: March 23, 2024, 6:30 p.m.
Content: Dear Community,
I am writing to formally announce my resignation from my position as DAO Secretary, effective on March 31 st, 2024 . This decision was not made lightly, but after careful consideration I have decided it is time for me to pursue new challenges and opportunities.
It has been an honor to serve the community as both a WG 0 Steward and then DAO Secretary. I want thank the community and specifically the Governance Stewards for giving me the opportunity to do so. I have learned a lot in these roles, both personally and professionally.
It has been remarkable to witness how far the DAO has come the past year. Community members have taken on the Forum Facilitator role and three Working Groups have formed with another on the way. In addition, an ApeChain solution and Formula 1 partnership were recently approved by the community.
While I am stepping down from my official role, I will of course remain an active member of the community and help contribute where I can. Thank you for your understanding and please reach out if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Vulkan

AIP-411: ArtJourney with ApeCoin: The JRNY Gallery Experience
by Vulkan - Accepted AIP Author
Posted on: March 11, 2024, 11:36 a.m.
Content: Thanks for putting this proposal together @JRNYCLUB! I see it includes a Made by Apes section to showcase the community’s talent.
Made by Ape Section:
● A dedicated space in the gallery to exhibit physical creations of Made by Ape,
showcasing the community’s talent and linking their artistry directly with the
ApeCoin ecosystem.
Would there also be a gallery section similar to the one mentioned above to showcase approved AIP projects? In my opinion, the Made By Apes initiative has been a great way to showcase projects created by community members across the wider ecosystem but we have struggled as a DAO to highlight projects specifically stemming from approved AIPs.

- JRNYCLUB: Thank you for your thoughtful question and for highlighting the potential to showcase approved AIP projects within JRNY Gallery. We are thrilled about the opportunity to display the Made by Apes section, and equally, we are fully open and enthusiastic about dedicating space in our gallery to exhibit projects stemming from approved AIPs.
The ApeCoin DAO and its AIP framework represent a groundbreaking approach to collaborative and community-driven development within the blockchain and art ecosystems. Showcasing approved AIP projects aligns perfectly with our vision to highlight the versatility, creativity, and innovation that ApeCoin fosters among its community. It’s an excellent way to celebrate the achievements of the DAO, provide visibility for these projects, and inspire further collaboration and innovation.
We understand that as a DAO, spotlighting the projects that have emerged from the AIP process is crucial. It not only honors the hard work and creativity of the ApeCoin community but also educates and inspires visitors about the possibilities within the ApeCoin ecosystem. We are committed to collaborating with the community, whether it involves projects Made by Apes or other approved AIPs, to ensure they receive the recognition and platform they deserve.
In addition to providing a physical space for these exhibitions, we also plan to incorporate educational components that detail the journey of each project from conception to approval and realization. This not only puts the DAO and its AIP process in the best light possible but also educates the public and other community members about the impact of their votes and participation.
Your support and insights are invaluable as we move forward with this initiative. We’re excited about the potential to work closely with ApeCoin holders, creators, and innovators to make JRNY Gallery a beacon of community achievement and collaboration within the ApeCoin ecosystem.

AIP-400: Enable $APE as a payment option for onchain consumer transactions on Co:Create Ink
by Vulkan - Accepted AIP Author
Posted on: Feb. 24, 2024, 10:05 p.m.
Content: Thanks for submitting your idea @PhishFood. The overall cost section at the bottom mentions $ 50 k to create a payment gateway. Could you provide more details on what that gateway would include and how the funds would be used to build it?

- PhishFood: @Vulkan Thanks for reviewing the proposal and answering your question.
Below are areas in which we will use the $50k to enable a payment gateway to accept APE for purchases:
Legal review to ensure no issues are accepting APE to buy tattoos domestically and internationally
Identifying and integrating with a crypto payments provider/platform
Design and product management to create a product requirements doc and Figma designs
Engineering resources to build and test APE payment rails in the product
Operationalize accepting payments in APE and paying artists on a set cadence
Please let me know where I can elaborate on any of the above if more context is needed!

Content: The ones above are only the ones written by me. Those SC reports are not, which is why I chose to keep it separate.
But I do see what you’re saying. One central place for all reports, regardless of who is writing/sending them.

BeyondTheSWAMP Update & Transparency Report
by Vulkan - Accepted AIP Author
Posted on: Feb. 13, 2024, 1:46 p.m.
Content: Thanks for the update @AllCityBAYC! It’s important for authors to understand progress on a project is rarely a straight line to the finish line. Although you’ve encountered road blocks along the way, it’s great to see you continue to push forward and find solutions to them.
Hopefully this post encourages other authors to share updates on where they are with the implementation of their proposals so the community can stay up-to-date and potentially help out where appropriate.

Big facts… And normalizing the discussion of people’s roadblocks is one of the best solution-finders there is — particularly for small teams requesting modest amounts of funding.

MisterHype:
The comprehensive breakdown of project spending and content creation provides a clear picture of where the resources are allocated.
I’m excited to see the magazine come to life - and looking forward to the next update!
Thank you brother! Means a lot!!
Was actually putting some thought into creative ways to keep updates flowing and fun for everyone to read and have a few ideas… Still fleshing things out to make sure that they remain achievable, but I’d like to establish some regular cadence to them.
Fine line between teasing content before publishing it but I do want the community to feel like they are part of this journey with me, so I’m thinking that I might drip some of it out here and there for everyone to read, and in-turn watch it come to life in the finished product with images and design features.
So maybe we set that off now? Here is one of my favourite Q&As with a good IRL buddy of mine Loro Masnah talking about growing up in Bogota, Columbia in the 90s, street art and the transition into NFTs + more.
Also excited to give people a sense for my approach to journalism and the overall the content vibe we’re looking for.
Enjoy!

Working Group Team Chart
by Vulkan - Accepted AIP Author
Posted on: Feb. 7, 2024, 11:18 a.m.
Content: No problem @buuvei. The Facilitators and Secretary are initiatives underneath the Governance Working Group umbrella, but the other Working Groups (MarComms, Metaverse, Web 3 Development) are separate.
These Working Groups do not report to the Special Council. They are independent from each other.

- Grains0x: Thanks for the question Vulcan. Firstly there’s the software licensing and 2 native mobile apps for both IPhone and Android, which are published in both Apple and Google play app stores, and of course a web app. Along with this come constant updates and development as well as user support.
Secondly is the account management side of things which in the case would be an account manager to maintain the content and direction of the app as well as sourcing and communicating with potential partners.
As far as the server costs, we include unlimited video and audio streaming and content hosting which includes user content, for up to 250,000 users.
Hope this helps answer the question. Feel free to ask anything else of course. Happy to clarify or give more information.
- Grains0x: Vulkan. Would you like to jump on a call so I can explain why this works so well for an ApeCoin type community. I’d like to try and convince you the vote in favour. Will you give me that chance?
