WLT by Satoshi’s Closet is a mobile wallet app for iOS and Android specifically designed to view your entire NFT collection across multiple blockchains and wallets in one place without ever needing to enter your private keys. One feature of the WLT app is ‘WLT SKNS’ - a way to personalize and skin the app with your favorite visual aesthetic. We propose to release (at zero cost) an ApeCoin WLT SKN to have collectors both inside and outside of the Yuga ecosystem enjoy and show their support for ApeCoin.

My name is Michael Pastko, and I’m the Co-founder and CEO of Satoshi’s Closet, where we are building the future of mobile web 3 commerce. I also go by @cliveapestein on Twitter, a pseudonym I created soon after buying my ape in May 2021 . I was previously the lead designer of the Gemini mobile app (agency project) and lead designer of the Magma mobile wallet for Tezos on iOS and Android.

My co-founder and CTO goes by @kitdesai and is also an avid NFT and web 3 enthusiast. He is a UC Berkeley-educated EECS grad.
Motivation | A statement on why the APE Community should implement the proposal.
One of the reasons we started building the WLT app (pronounced like ‘wallet’) in 2021 is because there was no great way to show off your NFT collection to people in real-world spaces, like showing your ape to a friend or relative at a sporting event or party, or showing a piece of digital artwork to a co-worker in the office or over drinks.
Safety and security are central to what we do. WLT does not require you to connect to Metamask, and you never need to enter your seed phrase or make any other wallet connection. All you need to do is enter your public wallet addresses (including .eth names) to view your entire collection in one place, including support for NFTs on Ethereum, Polygon, Tezos, and Solana.
And while WLT can be used 100 % as a view-only wallet and never needs to be paired with your private key, it can also be optionally used as a functioning hot wallet (via seed phrase) to onboard new and existing users. Showing off your NFTs should be fun, creative, and even a subtle (or not-so-subtle) flex if you want it to be. So we also created WLT SKNS with the idea that holding and showing your cryptoassets in your digital wallet should be an act of personal expression just like your physical wallet, purse, handbag, phone case, or watch.
Implementing this proposal means a new way to show off and flex your support of ApeCoin when you want to pull out the WLT app to show somebody one of your NFTs at a live event or social gathering. This proposal costs nothing to the ApeCoin community, and the artwork is already completed to deploy and release with an app update within days of AIP approval. We will include screenshots of WLT with the ApeCoin WLT SKN in various digital marketing campaigns and social posts.

Satoshi’s Closet began its life before the Bored Ape Yacht Club. In fact we were the first project to put physical apparel on the blockchain in 2019 with our hybrid NFT/streetwear release called The Initial Shirt Offering. We have been drivers of crypto culture since that time, before the term ‘web 3 ’ was even coined. The preface of Apecoin – that “culture has found new expression in web 3 through art, gaming, entertainment, and events,” is aligned with our own mission and vision from day one, almost four years ago.

Benefit to ApeCoin Ecosystem
The benefit of implementation to the ApeCoin ecosystem is a free opportunity to showcase the ApeCoin brand and the power of initiative and commitment within the community when participants show off their NFTs to friends and strangers in IRL settings – a way to grab someone’s attention visually when having conversations about NFTs, and draw them into further dialogue about the ApeCoin ecosystem.

WLT is available on iOS and Android. The ApeCoin WLT SKN can be activated after WLT is installed by visiting a URL or scanning a QR code from the WLT app.
WLT is built on top of the Trust Wallet SDK and has been audited by CertiK.
Steps to Implement | The steps to implement the proposal, including associated costs, manpower, and other resources for each step where applicable.
All we request is an affirmative vote on this AIP to implement the artwork already created, which can be deployed and publicly available for activation within days of AIP approval. This proposal has zero cost to the ApeCoin community.
Timeline | Relevant timing details, including but not limited to start date, milestones, and completion dates.
Implementation can occur within days of AIP approval. The only contingency is app update approval by Apple (which sometimes can hit snags as Apple’s stance toward crypto/NFTs/web 3 is occasionally tenuous) and Google (which is virtually automatic).
