Content: As an active contributor to various DAOs, I want to express my strong support for keeping the Governance Working Group within ApeCoin DAO. My experience with ApeCoin DAO was initially limited to Twitter spaces and occasional AIP writing. However, the GWG has been transformative in enabling my direct contribution to the DAO through coding, content creation, and business development.
The GWG’s Small Grants program has been particularly impactful, allowing me to assist projects from other ecosystems in applying for funding. Also, through my affiliation with @AllCityBAYC and the GWG, I was introduced to the APE U initiative, leading to my role as an AIP Coach, an experience I deeply value.
The GWG serves as a bridge, enabling talented individuals to engage with the DAO without navigating the lengthy proposal process. It provides a pathway for offering services and contributing skills directly to the community. This accessibility and efficiency in onboarding talent is vital for the DAO’s growth and diversity.
In essence, the GWG has been instrumental in deepening my involvement and I’m grateful to be a part of it.

Implementation Update | AIP-369: Empowering ApeCoin Sub-communities with Fundraising on Twitter via IDriss
by jarisjames - Accepted AIP Author
Posted on: Sept. 9, 2024, 10:54 a.m.
Content:
The ApeCoin DAO has posted a few resources on navigating the AIP process, including a series of Discourse posts; based on your experience, are these resources and the website helpful for drafting an AIP?
Yes, the resources are helpful, the following resources helped us significantly when writing our AIP Draft.
Have there been any delays or changes to the original timeline?
Yes, delays were resulted due to the twitter space never being scheduled in order to raise awareness that all ApeCoin delegates were whitelisted for free IDriss badges. The founding team at IDriss wants the community to be aware of this before launching the $APE integration for tipping on twitter, and for hyperlinking delegate wallet address to their twitter accounts on the delegate dashboard of the ApeCoin website.
Do you have any updates regarding the budget?
We didn’t ask for funding, so no updates here, this proposal was solely for cross-marketing.
How can the community support your initiative?
Setting up a twitter space at your earliest convenience would be highly appreciated, so the community can be aware of the implementations of AIP 369 .
Do you have anything you would like to tell the community?
We’re excited to begin our collaboration. We recently integrated our address resolver to the Rari Foundation delegate dashboard and would like to do the same for ApeCoin DAO.
RARI Foundation - Governance - scroll down to the “Meet Our Delegates” section to see the hyperlinking of twitter accounts for the delegates that claimed their free IDriss badge.
Do you provide consent to share these questions with the community in this forum?
Yes
Thanks for your assistance and support at @bigbull

AIP-369: Empowering ApeCoin Sub-communities with Fundraising on Twitter via IDriss
by jarisjames - Accepted AIP Author
Posted on: Jan. 3, 2024, 5:31 p.m.
Content: gm @bigbull,
Happy New Year!
Thanks for your questions.
Here’s a clear breakdown of the use cases:
Delegates: The IDriss reverse address resolver will automatically display a delegate’s Twitter username within the dashboard, replacing the wallet hash for those without an ENS name. This feature makes delegates more visible by including a Twitter widget linked to their profiles as well. Currently, to view a delegate’s Twitter handle, one must click into their profile. With IDriss, Twitter usernames are immediately visible on the first page, enhancing delegate awareness and accessibility without extra clicks. This direct visibility on the landing page provides more context and makes delegates more approachable. Additionally, the IDriss protocol is a unified standard for mapping web 2 identifiers to public wallet addresses (think: portable web 3 address book). Once you verify your Twitter account for the ApeCoin dashboard, it will be verified across all dApps where IDriss is integrated. You can view the current integrations at Ecosystem - IDriss Docs.
Sub-Communities: IDriss also opens up new avenues for perpetual donations on Twitter, enabling sub-communities within the ApeCoin DAO to continuously raise funds, we’re referring to projects like ApeComms, Ladies of BAYC, and Ape Beverages. So, instead of only relying on donation rounds for grant funding, this can be done in perpetuity on Twitter, since it will function like a donation widget on their Twitter account. Also, IDriss is integrated with platforms like Gitcoin and other quadratic funding mechanisms. Donations made through IDriss on Twitter can leverage quadratic funding matches during live grant rounds as well.
Wider Community: IDriss will also list the $APE token, so members can send/receive $APE as well directly on Twitter, and other social media platforms in the near future, such as Twitch. Imagine an ApeCoin-related Twitter Space where hosts can tip guests in $APE, especially considering it only takes one $APE token to join the DAO. This scenario demonstrates the practical use of IDriss in real-time engagements. By the way, IDriss typically requires a one-time $ 10 setup fee, but our proposal for ApeCoin DAO includes free allowlisting for delegates, sub-community profiles, and perhaps a few community members as well to claim an IDriss badge.
And the green dot emoji is used by the Gitcoin ecosystem projects & team members to signal a stronger brand.

@MemeBrains - Special Council Nomination 01/2024

Content: gm fam!
I’ve known @MemeBrains for a while now. I met him during a large Twitter Space with Origami DAO, which focused on the differences between web 2 and web 3 Marketing. We hit off from there, and he gave me warm introductions to both the CityDAO and Krause House communities, and we jammed on several spaces afterwards.
Aside from being a great connector, MemeBrains is also a talented builder, focused on bringing transparency to DAO governance via interactive dashboards. We hosted a demo a few weeks back, showcasing ‘NodeBlocks’, a project that he won a Hackathon for, which keeps members up to date on all recent forum posts, proposals, voting, and treasury info.
Memebrain’s is a strong contributor, very friendly, and will be a great addition to the Special Council. Proud to call him a friend.

There’s so much cross DAO collar opportunities on the table man…I know that’s been your forte too for the past year and more
Off the top of your head, what sort of colab opportunities would you like to see ApeCoin DAO check out? Excited to see your reply

Content: You’re welcome @Vulkan. So its authentication by attestation. Once a wallet address is allowlisted, they can navigate to the IDriss homepage, enter their wallet address and twitter username, but to officially claim the account, they have to publish a unique verification tweet, this will allow for IDriss to verify that you are the owner of the account.

Content: Thanks @AllCityBAYC, I’ll be contributing to the ApeCoin DAO on a regular basis; had great vibes here from day 1 , and love the enthusiasm of the community, and proud to be a part of the fam.
The few lines of code will be integrated into the UI of the delegate page of the website - https://delegate.apecoin.com/ in order to map delegates twitter usernames to their wallet addresses.
The delegates who were allowlisted and registered would have their Twitter account displayed in the dashboard (e.g. as a Twitter icon)
IDriss will allowlist all delegates, and they can decide to register or not.

ABSTRACT
IDriss is an open-source protocol and browser extension ( 75 k+ weekly users) that seamlessly integrates Twitter with the web 3 world by linking public wallet addresses to Twitter usernames. Through their Chrome extension, IDriss enables Twitter users to natively send and receive crypto, including the facilitation of perpetual donations. IDriss proposes to integrate with ApeCoin DAO to introduce a mechanism for perpetual donations, greatly benefiting ApeCoin’s vast sub-communities. By linking public wallet addresses to Twitter usernames through IDriss, these sub-communities can seamlessly launch and manage donation campaigns directly on Twitter.

Technical Documentation
BENEFIT TO APECOIN ECOSYSTEM
Facilitate fundraising through perpetual donations, supporting sub-communities.
Humanize interactions, strengthening community bonds.
ApeCoin’s sub-communities are the backbone of its ecosystem. IDriss offers a solution to facilitate seamless and continuous fundraising directly on Twitter, fostering community support and financial growth.
Example initiatives facilitated through the IDriss browser extension:
Gitcoin Integration
1600 × 897 129 KB
Partnership with Pudgylicious, a sub-community of Pudgy Penguins:
670 × 927 443 KB
KEY TERMS
Perpetual Donations: Continuous fundraising facilitated directly through Twitter via IDriss.
PLATFORMS AND TECHNOLOGY
Technology: IDriss Chrome extension.
Integration: Linking of Twitter accounts to ApeCoin public wallet addresses.
STEPS TO IMPLEMENT & TIMELINE
Step 1 - Integration Setup: Allowlist ApeCoin DAO’s Twitter account, their sub-communities, and all delegates for a free IDriss registration.
Step 2 - Account Creation: All sub-communities, delegates, and the @ApeCoin twitter account create an account on IDriss, linking their Twitter username to a public wallet address for accepting donations.
Step 3 - (Optional) Governance Dashboard Enhancement: Integrate IDriss into the existing governance dashboard for delegates using their open-source library. The governance dashboard will display Twitter names instead of delegates’ wallet addresses. This change allows token holders to have more context and learn about the delegates before delegating their votes. It enables them to make more informed decisions and potentially leverage the underlying Twitter infrastructure to DM the delegate. This integration requires only a few lines of code and takes minutes for an experienced developer.
Start Date: We can start as soon as possible.
Milestone 1 : Completion of allowlisting for the ApeCoin Twitter account, and for all sub-communities.
Milestone 2 : Allowlist all delegates.
OVERALL COST
The allowlisting of IDriss will be done at no cost. ApeCoin DAO’s Twitter account, their sub-communities, and all delegates will be allowlisted for free.

- AllCityBAYC: Yooooo… Jaris.
Excited to see you in here and posting your first proposal. Would love to have you as a more-regular contributor, easily one of my favourite go-to’s whenever I’m poking around to experiment with new tooling or just catch up and chat DAOs.
IDriss looks interesting. And a great way to give-back a little as the holiday season approaches. I see this as an onboarding tool as well, able to dish out single ApeCoins on Twitter Spaces to get people checking out the Forum and Discord server.
Quick question on this one:
jarisjames:
Governance Dashboard Enhancement: Integrate IDriss into the existing governance dashboard for delegates using their open-source library. The governance dashboard will display Twitter names instead of delegates’ wallet addresses.
With that line of code you reference further down in the paragraph, how does that work in terms of activation. I’m wondering if this is something that would have to be enabled DAO-wide, or a delegation’s choice, or the user who delegates to that group.
Looking forward to seeing where this proposal goes, and getting your post count up so you can stay a while!!!
