Having attended three Apefests, met numerous members of the BAYC/MAYC community, and hosted NFT HK (nfthk.events) during the most recent APEfest in HK, I have a strong desire contribute and grow the Apecoin DAO, and think my skillset, network, experiences make me a strong candidate for Steward. As Steward, I will focus on building a rich community ecosystem around Yuga’s Metaverse projects, support content creators and builders in Otherside, adoption of APEcoin, utilisation for DAO owned metaverse assets and develop forums, and host numerous gatherings and summits for encourage of APEcoin metaverse development I see my role in three fold: Representing Yuga’s metaverse efforts, working with SC, and other WG members to promote, highlight, celebrate and share the Metaverse portfolio of APEcoin DAO Bringing more metaverse and game developers into the Yuga ecosystem through partnerships, hackathons, talks and lectures Creating tools, incentives and visibility for the APE coin in adoption with ecosystem partners, to drive value to APE coin holders I believe that Yuga Labs has created a powerful and rich ecosystem, whose value has yet to be fully unlocked. Through my Stewardship for APEcoin DAO, I hope to be a powerful catalyst and enabler for this, while building up team and partnership capacity to co-develop APEcoin initiatives with other metaverse creators. Motivation Details on your motivation for becoming an ApeCoin DAO Metaverse WG Steward I believe in the power of the metaverse sector to drive the multi trillion dollar use case for web 3 and ultimately deliver the vision of a better future. Yuga has managed to build an incredible ecosystem and with the appointment of Daniel Alegre (ex Google executive, former President and COO of Activision Blizzard) as CEO, Yuga is going to focus heavily on Metaverse. As an angel equity investor in Yuga Labs, I believe in the long term promise and mission for Yuga to create something similar to Oasis from Ready Player One. I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel Alegre in HK during Apefest, and talked with him and the team. My conversations with him convinced me that Metaverse was top of his agenda, and where the “rubber will meet the road” for Yuga, and for APE coin. The Metaverse Steward needs to be a high performing member of the community to support and drive this vision. After discussing the topic with many friends, and advisors, I have decided to officially participate as an election candidate. I am a futurist, a former Teaching Fellow for Singularity University, a data scientist who has worked with Fortune 10 clients, a web 3 native investor for a multi billion dollar family office, a board member of a regulated financial institution, a scholar of one of the most prestigious academic programs in the world, and venture-backed entrepreneur of one of the most selective startup programs in the world (YC China). I think that the Metaverse Steward need this caliber of experience, network and capability. Let's talk geography for a second. There is no doubt that Asia is going to be at the forefront of gaming market adoption, application development and use case discovery. Today, According to Statica, there are 1 . 8 B video game players in Asia Pacific, compared to 0 . 57 B in the Middle East and Africa, 0 . 45 B in EU, 0 . 33 B in Latam and 0 . 24 B in North America. As a fluent speaker of Mandarin and English, with extensive connections in APAC, I believe that I can easily contribute to bridging the language divide and onboarding APAC game development expertise hungry to participate in metaverse use cases. Over the last 2 years, APE coin has suffered a precipitous price decline. As the dominant ecosystem token for the biggest metaverse project, a trailing price of 491 M USD does not and cannot reflect the true value. I see the need for stronger applications and use cases across the web 3 world for APE coin adoption and utilisation. At the same time, I have extension professional and business experience. As a pioneer in the Impact NFT space, I was able to convince large companies and global NGOs to embrace and experiment with web 3 . We helped WWF launch the first metaverse nft collection. We worked with Nelson Mandela’s Peace Parks for their first impactNFT use case. We helped design dynamic NFTs for MIT Media Labs. I was to keep it operationally professional orderly and IRL inviting, transparency is a must and things on time done as needed. 2 years ago I was hit by a car and still on physical recovery, which i took as opportunity to dive even deeper into WEB 3 , wrote a first WEB 3 book with apes, helps some develop stories for the future projects, became a part of some white papers , speaker at conferences, tester for WEB 3 games, part of multiple full IP rights NFT communities besides just being DEFI & stock person (including one of those OG apes AMS/GME that DRS… on which BAYC was bases to OMENAJE in part as founders mentioned at their interview), Became an ape, miss the yatch… , get into Apecoin DAO from day zero practically and was amazed by all people coming here and brainstorming together, became WG 0 non payed steward, start spreading my experience at IRLs & conferences. This, together with a stronger presence across IRL Web 3 (and maybe even Web 2 ) events, conferences, and activities are priorities I’d like for the MarComms WG to drive and achieve. I know I’m ready to level up my contributions to the DAO, and that this is the right avenue for it. Motivation Details on your motivation for becoming an ApeCoin DAO Marketing & Communications WG Steward I’m motivated to be the MarComms WG Steward because I want to see ApeCoin DAO succeed. I know a lot of people who are familiar with ApeCoin, but unaware of anything much about it other than it was an airdrop to BAYC/MAYC/BAKC Holders. I myself only started getting involved with ApeCoin DAO when I began working with AIP- 133 funded project Boring Security. There’s so much more to ApeCoin that others need to know about; by others I mean Apes, Web 3 degens, and the wider Web 3 scene of DeFi players, gamers, artists, and more. Rationale Share relevant experience and skills that will bring value to the ApeCoin community DAO Experience. I’ve been working with a mission-oriented and cost-effective DAO, Boring Security, for almost 1 year. Because of this, I believe I have a deep and experiential understanding of what it’s like to operate on the administrative side of a DAO. Cross-functional training. The experience I had over at my previous job, though not solely focused on Marketing, gave me a holistic experience in developing my work ethic. I’m able to deliver on commitments, to manage stakeholders, and to be agile when situations aren’t ideal. I also learned how to apply my analytical and creative skills onto practical settings as well. IRL Community Building. I’m really one to connect with people and the community. I’m not afraid to start conversations (and follow them through). It’s hard to describe over text, because my energy is really best shared in person. This can bring value to the DAO because should I get into the position, I believe I can represent the DAO well when it comes to finding new opportunities to market ApeCoin. Specifications Further describe relevant experience, including crypto and governance participation, and/or ideas for DAO improvement I joined Boring Security almost exactly 1 year ago, and since then I’ve streamlined work processes, led campaigns and activations, revamped class materials, handled contributors, socials, partnerships, and finances, and created graphics for events, announcements, articles, etc. I was on the team that organized the first ThankApe Moonshot (the AIP Idea-a-thon on April 2023 ), and I created a series of assets for ThankApe Moonshot Contests (April: AIP Idea-a-Thon, July: ApeCoin Building the Future of Apecoin, August: ApeCoin Builders Grants). I was also on the team that executed the Ledger Quest x ApeCoin campaign last March-April. I worked with Keepers Bar - a Web 3 Gastropub in the Philippines, which is a go-to spot for web 3 community events, meet-ups, product launches, and more. I worked closely with the owner as the Web 3 Marketing Lead to establish its brand in the local Web 3 scene in Metro Manila. While ApeCoin operates as a crypto token, its holders extend beyond traders and charters to include builders, creators, developers, and more from the NFT space actively involved in the DAO’s pursuits. The capability to establish a global brand is definitely within reach, but the DAO needs the right Stewards to set ApeCoin up for success. My riskiest play in the Web 3 space was never really a trade or a flip- it was leaving my safe corporate path to pursue Web 3 . I’ve been full-time in Web 3 the past 2 years because it’s empowered me to be my most authentic self. Part of that meant applying my creative, yet still very analytical, approach across any venture I get into. My hands-on experience in Web 3 , coupled with a track record in community building, reflects that I’m not just talk. I’m ready to make things happen for ApeCoin DAO.
