Content: Hi @Gonna.eth, Thanks a lot for letting us know and your guidance and help! We have updated our milestones and made them more specific. Please find a copy below: Please provide benchmark milestones for this project. These milestones should guide the Optimism community on the progress of your project during the 1 -year lock-up period. Our milestone will be centered around improving key metrics that directly impact our users, including active user growth, trading volume, available trading pairs, and total value locked. By prioritizing these metrics, we aim to enhance the overall user experience on our platform and drive growth on the Optimism chain. Our roughly estimated milestones are: Month 1 Users: 500 - 1000 TVL: 1 - 2 M Volume: 3 - 5 M Month 3 Users: 1000 - 2000 TVL: 2 - 10 M Volume: 20 - 30 M Month 6 Users: 4000 - 5000 TVL: 10 - 50 M Volume: 50 - 100 M The current market conditions are challenging and we all know this but our team at Swapline is focused on the long-term vision and mission. As a dynamic and agile team, we are well-positioned to adapt to changes in the DeFi space and take advantage of new opportunities as they arise. We think it’s difficult to predict more specific milestones in the current market but we are committed to building the best possible DEX for traders, liquidity providers, and DAO members on Optimism. Please define critical milestones for this project. Critical milestones are meant to show good-faith efforts to accomplish the project. Non-completion of these milestones could lead to revocation of remaining grant rewards. Content: Hi @Gonna.eth, yes okay makes sense. Please find here some more information about the milestones: Launch of Homepage: We will launch the first version in this week on swapline.com 2 Finished Audit Our audit is planed for beginning of April with Hashex. We are still working on and testing the Auto-Pools. Therefore we can just give an estimate for the audit. The audit report will be published on our docs: https://docs.swapline.com/ 2 Launch of Base Protocol (Liquidity Book AMM + Automated vaults) We will launch the base version of the DEX on Optimism after the audit is complete. The expected launch date is mid-April. We will publish all our smart contracts on our github: Swapline-com · GitHub 2 Launch of Incentive Layer with Fairlaunch For our incentive layer we need to launch our tokens. We don’t want to rush into anything here since we can only launch the token once. That’s why we want to launch the DEX without a token for the time being and build a community around it. As soon as there is enough momentum built around the protocol, we can start sharing more details and executing our plans for the token launch as we want to reward all of the early supporters of the protocol. Scaling up Liquidity pools and farms Date TBD: Will be done after the fairlaunch Launch of Upgrader Date TBD: We will deploy the upgrader together with the fairlaunch event. Please let me know when you have any questions. Thanks and kind regards, 0 xJo

Content: Hi @Gonna.eth, Thanks a lot for reviewing our proposal! We will do our best to respond to all comments here in the forum. Please find below the answers to your questions: Comparison between Swapline and Velodrome While Velodrom and Swapline are both decentralized exchanges, they are quite different on a technical as well as on a token economical perspective. On the technical side, Velodrome uses the Univ 2 AMM model plus stable swaps (Solidly fork), which pools assets and provides liquidity on a 1 : 1 ratio on the full price range. Swapline, on the other hand, uses the Liquidity Book model (JoeV 2 fork), which allows liquidity providers to concentrate their liquidity around specific price ranges also called “bins” to minimize slippage and maximize yield. This enables traders to execute large trades with no slippage within a specific bin. Additionally, Swapline adjusts fees dynamically based on the volatility of a token pair to offset potential impermanent loss for liquidity providers. As Liquidity Book is a completely new and innovative DEX method (actually a mix between Order Book and classical AMM) we would be happy to give more insights about it in a demo. Here is one example of the DEX frontend: 1203 × 1034 73 . 2 KB On the token economical side, Velodrome is using the ve( 3 , 3 ) mechanics with vesting, voting, bribing to incentivise their liquidity and farm emissions. Swapline is using a quite different approach with two liquid tokens (Unlimited Reward Token & Hard Cap Governance Token) to incentivise the different DEX features and bootstrapping liquidity. The most innovative part about the two token system is the mechanic of how both influence each other. The two tokens are linked via a special smart contract we developed and audited. In addition, Swapline will have state of the art features like native limit orders, zapping, voting and bribing. Plans for our team size At present, our team comprises 10 members, who are capable of managing all aspects of the work required for our project. We have a well-rounded team that includes developers, designers, marketers, and other professionals who are working diligently to ensure the success of our protocol. As we continue to grow and expand, we understand that the demands on our team may increase. Therefore, we remain open to the idea of expanding our developer team in the future, if necessary. Our focus is on building a strong, sustainable foundation for our project, and if we find that additional help is required to achieve that goal, we will not hesitate to bring in new team members who share our vision. Builders vs Growth After we evaluated both Builders and Growth Experiments grants our decision went the Builders way, as we thought it would give us more flexibility on how we use the funds. We could either use it in order to incentivise the protocol or we could use it to further develop the protocol. We are huge fans of Optimism and the vision it is pursuing (with its underlying superchain infrastructure). First and foremost we want to become part of Optimism’s growing ecosystem and take the path bringing the most value to the community. So we are curious to learn your thoughts on this and are open to adjusting our approach to your advice. Thanks, 0 xJo
