Content: Project name: OAYC Thank you very much for considering nominating OAYC. In addition to the nomination and description, we would like to highlight the contribution of our project to the Optimism ecosystem from the project team side. Project description: OAYC is a completely hand-drawn-from-scratch derivative collection inspired by the iconic BAYC. We have become one of the biggest communities & sold-out projects in the OP NFT space, with 500 $ETH+ secondary sales volume and a strong roadmap for continued growth and utility for the community. Frame 5731604 × 1080 119 KB A description of how the project has supported the development and usage of the OP Stack : OAYC has made significant contributions to the educational function of the Optimism network through the following initiatives: Exclusive minting for $OP tokens. To better educate users, the OAYC team decided to do a mint exclusively for $OP tokens, requiring users to understand the ecosystem and exchange tools. The team also prepared a detailed guide on how to migrate from other networks to Optimism, which was well-received by new users. photo_ 2022 - 12 - 22 _ 17 - 35 - 371030 × 206 24 . 9 KB Attracting users from other networks. To reach a wider audience, the team allocated approximately ~ 15 , 000 $OP and engaged influential NFT community members in advertising campaigns. Content: Optimism network is not so strong in term of NFT space rn. The ecosystem needs projects as OAYC to stay and develop. We need additional funding to add more utility and make secondary more active. Our last sold out is a good basement to keep developing and promoting the project. But is is not even close enough to launch staking pool and community rewards. This is why we made this proposal. If community wants OP NFT market to grow, then projects as OAYC must be supported. We made people to come to OP network and buy ~ 200 000 OP tokens, isn’t it the value for the ecosystem? There are not so many strong communities on OP. And OAYC is one of them. If we had this funding, we will make community better and OP NFT space stronger.

- FractalVisions: Once again you have not provided the information that was requested in the form of dune analytics charts that help represent the OAYC track record history on the blockchain.
You are not showing the OP governance the proper information to help support this grant at the moment and help reassure members of the community that the funds will be distributed in a proper well thought out manner that is displayed in the token distribution schedule of the grant proposal.
Please remember that it was also asked that you stop having members who are not involved with the OP governance delegation process to stop comments here.
They continue to interrupt the forum which was intended as a place for a valuable conversation based around the presentation of the grant with other delegate members.
It is great that your project did well in sales but that is not enough info to approve this proposal.
Also in the last sentence you mentioned that if you had the funding you, “ will make community better and OP NFT space stronger. “
What happened to the original funding of the project and how was that not possible with over 180,000 OP tokens raised in the past 4 months of your project ???
Something does not seem right about a project which raised such a high amount of OP token for their project and at the same time they are not able to submit the proper information necessary for a grant proposal. Especially when asked numerous times after hearing concerns from other community members within the OP NFT space.
Now the ask is 100,000 tokens but with zero data on track history from the project treasury.
At this time I can not support this proposal with the lack of metrics provided and will ask once again to have members of your community please refrain from using this forum as some sort of social media platform to try promoting your project.
- 2ski: After mint out you made about $36k, i know this because i followed the wallet to be sure that mint out was a success, i needed to prove so many other communities on OP wrong, they were not wrong to think that you might run with funds because you weren’t reputable yet but i gave them reasons to give you a chance. My question now is, what did you do with that money? how did you spend it on the community and roadmap, these things should be made known to us the community members because we have a right to know and if granted this fund from OP how do you intend to judiciously utilize it. That money is different from total volume, so there should be so much money in the vault. I remember when the community members said you should reward me as a lot of them joined OAYC because of the constant shilling i did, and you told me to open a ticket and instead of doing the right thing, you condemned me for raising a riot i knew nothing about, fast forward till now, where are the whales that first came, they left because of lack of proper management. So if sheikh rahyan says that you spent a little back on them he is not wrong to think so.

Content: Sheikhrahyan: never spent a little back on them. What do you mean never spent back? OAYC has spend more than 20 000 $ on marketing + more than 10 000 $ on prize pools. And please keep in mind project give x 4 - 20 from mint price to OAYC holders. And remind you, you have won prizes several times on twitter AMA and other activities btw.

Content: Sorry, we missed your attempts to contact our team. We remember your messages on our mint day but the team didn’t get a chance to start a conversation as the mint day is a very busy day. We reached you out on Twitter several times btw and had no response too :frowning: Please open a ticket in discord or dm us on Twitter so we can finally talk. Regarding previous initiatives, OAYC has launched dozens of community giveaways and marketing campaigns to bring more people to the Optimism NFT and keep the current community active. It helped us to reach almost 500 ETH trading volume in 2 months and + 2000 % ATH floor price. We need some time to sum up the number, examples, and performance of these initiatives. And we have already made a forecast of the results that can be expected from the use of this grant in the future. You can find it in the proposal.

- FractalVisions: Unfortunately this does not provide the analytic data that was requested and this info needs to displayed with actual metrics as well as a clear thought out distribution schedule. I don’t see a distribution schedule in the proposal.
Opensea statistics are not enough to qualify the project for a grant.
I am hearing concerns from other members within the community about the most recent mint from the Oayc project and whether the funds from minting the project are involved with any retroactive donations. I am curious as well to hear if there has been any contributions to the Optimism ecosystem since the launch of the project. Approximately 80,000 more OP tokens were just collected from a secondary mint so I am not sure why more assistance with funding is needed if that is the case.
Please provide any data using DUNE analytics from the project that can help show the other members of the governance the statistics of the previous mints, the way the original mint funds were used for public goods, or any initiatives led by the project team in a clear & transparent manner.

Content: Thanks for your feedback! In fact, there are no official requirements on how to promote the proposal. Posts from some of the project members are just general support, right. But on the other hand, it shows you the strength of the community and the desire to make the project successful. And community support is one of the main points in evaluating the potential of NFTs. We are not going to spam such calls in support of the proposal further. But at the same time, we don’t see anything wrong with showing community support.
