Content: I’d like to see another iteration of lists based on feedback too. Interested to see how this might help with the aforementioned point. Thanks for the reply!

Content: gm @OPUser, by this do you mean all projects or just those with a token? OPUser: The foundation should not differentiate between non/VC-backed/native token applications. If you’re thinking all projects should have access to the same rewards pot (as with RetroPGF 3 ) I’d be interested to hear more on your reasoning. Separate reward pots for small projects and large, successful projects could make a good response to the greater recognition typically received by projects with larger budgets.

- OPUser: Hi @Tetranome , I meant all projects.
Instead of the Foundation setting up the rules, I would like to see at least one more iteration with lists, as I see value in them. I resonate with your reasoning but would like to see it done via Badge holders. Depending on their experience, alignment, and interest, lists could be created to highlight all kinds of projects, small or big, VC or non-VC.

RetroPGF Round 3 Feedback Thread

Content: Another exciting round of RetroPGF :red_circle::sparkles: and one step closer to a thriving ecosystem of public goods. One common piece of feedback has been the natural divide between more popular brands and the hundreds of lesser-known projects. Typically how this plays out is that smaller projects miss essential funding, and well-funded projects (VC or otherwise) receive something more like a bonus. A potential solution I see is splitting the RetroPGF pot into Popular & Underdog categories, helping to reserve a portion of funding for those that need it most. To combat the sheer volume of projects, and help navigate any bias, badgeholders could be shown a smaller, randomized range of available projects, and have the proper time to add their analysis. While I don’t imagine this has happened, randomized selection would have the secondary effect of making harassing/bribing individual badgeholders more difficult. That’s my food for thought! Lots of interesting ideas in here :fire:

Clarifying Bankless Academy’s individual application

Content: Hi all, Tetranome from Bankless Academy here :man_astronaut: :rocket: With recent public discussion around the Bankless brand, I wanted to clarify why Bankless Academy has applied individually to RetroPGF 3 , and help you understand our relationship to BanklessDAO (the community) and BanklessHQ (the media LLC). As one of the first projects out of BanklessDAO, the Bankless Academy platform was built to provide web 3 education as a 100 % free-to-access public good. After a number of successful seasons, our team made the decision to step beyond BanklessDAO funding and seek external sources of income. With this step, the project gained greater independence, now operating as a public goods service within the greater Bankless movement, and Ethereum ecosystem. As Bankless Academy no longer receives funding allocations from BanklessDAO, we have joined RetroPGF under our own application. Neither BanklessDAO, BanklessHQ, or Bankless Academy share funding sources.* All RetroPGF rewards go towards future content and improvements to the Bankless Academy platform. I hope this helps to makes the nature of our application more clear. If you have any questions, myself and the team are happy to answer them below! Funding sources and further details available in the application itself. 5 *For full transparency, today Bankless Academy automatically sends 5 % of collectible content proceeds to BanklessDAO to help fund new projects. No other proceeds are shared.
