Content: Milestone: Framework update and research, completed
TL;DR.
We’ve completed the first milestone in the Making Impact Evaluation Accessible FrameWork Mission.
Making Impact Evaluation Accessible
At WakeUp Labs, we’re constantly seeking ways to innovate and improve processes within the decentralized space. IIn the first milestone of the Making Impact Evaluation Framework, we have completed a research document that delves into methodologies for refining the impact evaluation framework used in Retroactive Public Goods Funding (RetroPGF) within the Optimism Collective.
The research involved analyzing voting methodologies, interviewing BadgeHolders, and identifying areas for improvement in the current workflow. The findings are aimed at making impact evaluation more accessible and efficient for evaluators and project applicants alike.
For a more detailed understanding of the insights and proposals, you can read the full research document

A new tool that blends your everyday work apps into one. It's the all-in-one workspace for you and your team
What’s Next
We’re actively working on multiple milestones simultaneously. These include developing the interface, formulating the criteria, defining the marketing plan, hosting community engagement sessions, iterating on the site, and wrapping it all up with a mission recap and final documentation.
As we complete each of these milestones, we’ll keep you posted with updates.

WakeUp Labs is developing a refined Impact Evaluation Framework for the Optimism ecosystem. This project aims to align both existing and new frameworks, gathering and showcasing information in a simple, accessible manner. With the rapid evolution of Seasons, the framework will provide broader and clearer access to retro grant information through improved interfaces, empowering the community to better identify and acknowledge impactful contributions.

What are we developing?
This mission centers on updating the existing Impact Evaluation Framework, refining it through collaboration with key stakeholders, including Badgeholders and RetroPGF applicants. The project also involves creating a user-friendly, interactive, open-source website that will allow contributors to assess the significance of their efforts and gather information about the Retro. This will help the community gauge the real impact of contributions on Optimism, driving more meaningful engagement and simplifying the information.

Zk Toolkit for ZK Application Developers: Mission updates
by WakeUp_Labs - No Role
Posted on: Sept. 27, 2024, 11:25 a.m.
Content: Research & Discovery Initial milestone: completed!
TL;DR.
We’ve completed the first milestone in the ZK ID Toolkit for ZK Application Developers OP Mission.
Overview of ZK Identity Tools
As part of developing the Zero-Knowledge (ZK) Identity Toolkit for the Superchain, we analyzed several existing ZK identity solutions to ensure secure and privacy-focused interactions between applications and users. Our key goal is to empower developers to easily integrate ZK proofs into their applications, facilitating self-sovereign identity management.
After evaluating options like Web 5 , Quark ID, and PSE ZK Kit, we chose Privado ID as the best fit. Its comprehensive infrastructure, including APIs, a user interface, and ZK query capabilities, makes it a mature and ready-to-use solution. While currently tied to the Polygon network, Privado ID’s robust features will allow us to adapt it for use on Optimism and the broader Superchain ecosystem.
With features like schema building, credential issuance, and both on-chain and off-chain verification, it provides all the necessary tools for managing decentralized identities. This makes it an ideal foundation for our ZK Identity Toolkit, ensuring simplicity and scalability for developers.
As Privado ID is open source, we will be working on a forked version dedicated entirely to the Superchain. At the end of the project we will evaluate the possibility for it to become part of the OP Stack.
More info in the Milestone # 1 Research document.

What are we developing?
Our proposal centers on building a toolkit based on zero-knowledge technology, designed to integrate effortlessly with the Superchain. This toolkit enables developers to incorporate ZK proofs into their decentralized applications (dApps), allowing for enhanced security and trust between users and applications. By doing so, we aim to give individuals full control over their identities and privacy.

Optimism Governance
Last Tuesday, August 6 , we cast our first vote as OP delegators in the Optimism Token House. We voted to select the next five members of the Code of Conduct Council. Our decision was based on the candidates’ public contributions to the ecosystem, their expertise as shown in their applications, and the diversity they could bring to the council. We believe each candidate brings valuable and unique strengths to the table.

If you’re interested in the other three missions, they include the Zero Knowledge Toolkit, Superchain Accounts, and Decentralized Roll-up as a Service.

The Fourth mission.
Impact Evaluation Framework and Dashboard
What was it about?
Update and expand the Impact Evaluation Framework to align with the updated intents for Season 5 , while also broadening access to the Metrics Garden via additional interfaces. By doing so, boost the utilization of current Impact Metrics and utilize a range of tools, both existing and new, to showcase impact. This will strengthen the community’s capacity to recognize and bolster meaningful contributions.
WakeUp’s Proposal
Our plan to execute this project involves leveraging our technical skills alongside collaborators from the Optimism ecosystem. In the initial phase, spanning three weeks to two months, we’ll conduct a thorough review and update of the framework. This includes interviews with Badgeholders, RetroPGF applicants, and other relevant stakeholders to refine the impact evaluation framework, and clearly assess whether contributors’ efforts made a significant impact on OP. Subsequently, we’ll create a stand-alone, interactive, and open-source website to host the updated framework. This site will allow users to input links and parameters (such as SmartContracts) to determine if the efforts were worthwhile, helping to better orient future contributions.
Following this, we’ll develop a set of eight evaluation criteria aligned with Season 5 ’s intents, ensuring their relevance and precision through Badgeholder validation. Our community engagement strategy will involve utilizing email marketing, paid advertisements, and automation to expand our audience. We plan to conduct feedback sessions with Optimism-specialized communities, both Spanish and English-speaking, to gather insights and feedback.
After gathering feedback, we’ll spend three weeks refining our live interactive interface to enhance user experience. This phase will complete various milestones of the project. Finally, the project will conclude with a recap, delivered two weeks after grant completion, where we’ll compile a report showcasing our progress, improvements, and user needs identified through interactions. This sets the foundation for future iterations and strategies.
Additionally, our solution will be fully open-sourced, and we’ll develop educational initiatives such as an educational roadmap, public conversations to keep the community updated, and live feedback tracking modules. WakeUp Labs is committed to providing support to the project for two years after the conclusion of grant rewards, covering technical support, maintenance, hosting, bug fixes, user support, and educational and marketing initiatives.
Furthermore, we’ll showcase project demos, host webinars and workshops, and propose co-marketing campaigns with universities and Optimism communities to attract more builders to our platform.
Next steps.
As we announce the final mission assigned to us, we’re thrilled to continue enhancing the Optimism ecosystem.
