[REJECTED] Real-time access to pre-chain data RFP Mission Request
by brockelmore - No Role
Posted on: Feb. 10, 2024, 12:11 a.m.
Content: For transparency I want to mention I spoke with the Blocknative team out of band about the rejection of this request and gave further feedback and received feedback on the process. The DAB did review the updated request, and we are thinking on ways that this process could improve as to not blindside an applicant with a rejection (in my personal view, DAB rejections should not be because of misalignment with an intent as that should be communicated before significant time is spent on an application).

[REJECTED] Contract Secure Revenue (CSR) Mission Request
by brockelmore - No Role
Posted on: Feb. 7, 2024, 6:29 p.m.
Content: The Developer Advisory Board has reviewed this Delegate Mission Request, and voted on its acceptance or rejection. The vote results are as follows: ACCEPT: 0 votes REJECT: 6 votes ABSTAIN: 0 votes therefore, the Developer Advisory Board rejects this delegate mission request. The Developer Advisory Board likes to encourage experimentation, but we view CSR as not meaningfully improving technical decentralization (Intent # 1 ). We view a CSR module as an interesting experiment, but feel there are more appropriate avenues to seek funding for that experiment. We thank the proposer for putting this together.

[READY TO VOTE] OP Stack Research and Implementation

Posted on: Feb. 7, 2024, 6:26 p.m.
Content: The Developer Advisory Board has reviewed this Delegate Mission Request, and voted on its acceptance or rejection. The vote results are as follows: ACCEPT: 6 votes REJECT: 0 votes ABSTAIN: 0 votes therefore, the Developer Advisory Board accepts this delegate mission request. The Developer Advisory Board knows that an open-ended DMR like this can cause issues but views the potential outcomes as worthwhile. The DAB will be diligent in our review of applications. We thank the proposer for putting this together.

[READY TO VOTE] Implement a Prototype of an OP Stack Chain with Mempool Encryption
by brockelmore - No Role
Posted on: Feb. 7, 2024, 6:23 p.m.
The Developer Advisory Board views encrypted mempools as an important research area that can lead to better technical decentralization. A prototype implementation seems like a good next step. We thank the proposer for putting this together.

[READY TO VOTE] Open Source OP Stack Developer Tooling
by brockelmore - No Role
Posted on: Feb. 7, 2024, 6:17 p.m.
Content: The Developer Advisory Board has reviewed this Delegate Mission Request, and voted on its acceptance or rejection. The vote results are as follows: ACCEPT: 6 votes REJECT: 0 votes ABSTAIN: 0 votes therefore, the Developer Advisory Board accepts this delegate mission request with the contingency of the specification of tools listed by chom as guideposts be included in the DMR. The Developer Advisory Board’s primary concern was the open-ended nature. By including specific tools in the DMR, we can guide applicants to what we are looking for. Open-source, ecosystem specific tools (like those listed) will lead toward more technical decentralization. We thank the proposer for putting this together.

[DRAFT] Code Commitment Tool Mission Request
by brockelmore - No Role
Posted on: Feb. 7, 2024, 6:06 p.m.
The Developer Advisory Board has reached this conclusion as our experience as security researchers ourselves. Github/onchain code mismatch is a constant problem across the ecosystem and we think this will help improve verifiability of contract source code and therefore improve technical decentralization. We thank the proposer for putting this together.
