Optimism supports ERC- 7683
This standard was created by Across Protocol in collaboration with Uniswap and provides a framework for cross-chain actions based on intents. This unlocks better UX for users, easier swaps, and shared liquidity. Support for this standard pushes forward interoperability between the Superchain and Ethereum as a whole.
Read more about Solving Interoperability
Fault proofs are live on Base
Anyone can monitor and permissionlessly challenge invalid withdrawals, removing the need for a trusted third party and paving the way for greater community participation. With this, Base moves closer to Stage 1 decentralization, although a Security Council and modifications in the approval process for Base protocol upgrades are still needed. Base is on track to reach Stage 1 in the coming months.

Long-term Onchain Governance Architecture
Last week, the Foundation published their vision for the future of onchain governance for the Optimism Collective. The governance model aims to bring the logic of the Operating Manual onchain, allowing for different types of proposals, and rules that can be dependent on specifics of the proposals.
The post opens some questions for the community on the topic of proposal submissions, ossification of voting cycles and how to accommodate proposal edits.

Working Models for Decentralization
The Foundation published models to provide context to the community, looking towards the upcoming Season.
Decentralization Milestone Working Model: A model to understand the progression of decentralization within the Collective.
Governance Decision Diagram Working Model: A decision diagram including the decision making paths once Optimism governance is fully decentralized. The Decision Design Framework details the approach to design each decision module within this diagram.

Updates to the Standard Rollup Charter
The Standard Rollup Charter has been updated to include:
History integrity checks to assess discrepancies between chains have been moved to offchain tooling. These checks ensure chains that were deployed before the Blockspace Charter or the Standard Rollup are implemented correctly and are consistent with the Law of Chains.
Temporary control structures have been added to a limited set of chains. Upgrades for Base and Unichain will be implemented through a 3 / 3 upgrade multisig, with the following signers: the Optimism Security Council, the Optimism Foundation, and the Chain Governor.
Implementation of the charter and these changes is subject to its approval.
