Daospace - Transparency Report (Contributor Cards)

Posted on: Sept. 20, 2024, 11:41 a.m.
Content: Thanks @WinVerse, appreciate your support.
We can certainly get the wallet addresses from Tally, but want to make sure that’s the wallet address they want tied to their card, as this address will receive royalties every time their card is traded. Also, not everyone has an in-depth bio on forum, and we want to display their contributions accurately for the back of the card, and we retrieve the info from forum, to get the description from Tally, we would have to build an additional scraper to retrieve Tally bio info.
Also, we want to encourage participation on forum in general, as the 1 st edition of Contributor Cards rewards forum participation exclusively.

Content: Absolutely. As long as you begin contributing on forum, we can generate an accurate bio for you, which will be presented on the back of the card. You can start by introducing yourself here in this thread, and by sharing your wallet address as well, so we can whitelist you.
Thank you for your support @GozmanGonzalez 4 , looking forward to learning more about you, and DAOing together here at the Rari Foundation.

Content: daospace - Transparency Report (Contributor Cards)
Grants Program Sprint # 1 awardee
Date: September 13 , 2024
Grant Amount: $ 5 , 000 in RARI
Disbursed: $ 2 , 500 RARI ( 50 % of the grant has been received). The remaining $ 2 , 500 RARI is set to be disbursed later in alignment with our project’s milestones.
Project Overview:
Our project aims to create 3 D customizable Contributor Cards for DAO members, offering a gamified way to showcase forum activity and skills. These cards will function as tradable business cards, granting intellectual property rights to each contributor. The cards will link forum data to wallet addresses, allowing users to highlight their involvement in the Rari Foundation. The level of your contributions will determine the card’s rarity and unlock exclusive platform perks, such as ad space for each holder.
Beyond serving as a recognition of reputation, the focus is on empowering contributors with intellectual property rights—much like a basketball player’s trading card. However, each time a Contributor Card is bought or sold, royalties will be paid to the contributor it represents, thanks to being built on Rari Chain. Users will also have the ability to mint their own card collections, enabling them to create their own marketplaces directly on daospace.
Milestones Achieved:
Design and Development:
We received the mockup design from our graphic designer.
A 3 D version of the Contributor Card was created by our 3 D designer in .glb format. This file allows for full manipulation within the app using a mouse, providing a highly interactive experience. Users can freely move the card in all directions, simulating a futuristic, translucent design that incorporates gradient colors inspired by the Rari Foundation’s palette.

image 1915 × 1073 147 KB
Integration and Real-Time Customization Features:
We are currently integrating ThreeJS, an open-source JavaScript library, to enable real-time 3 D rendering of the Contributor Cards directly within the app. This feature will allow users to customize their cards in real-time by uploading a profile image and username.
Each member of the DAO will be whitelisted, and we’ll connect your forum data linked to the wallet address used for claiming their Contributor Card.
Forum Data Integration:
We successfully scraped and updated all the forum data for the Rari Foundation, ensuring that the stats displayed on the back of the Contributor Cards are accurate and up to date. The design mimics the layout of traditional sports cards, with stats and achievements prominently featured.
Current Status and Next Steps:
Next steps: We are working on creating an an experience where users can mint their Contributor Cards directly onto the Rari Chain within the app. This prototype is under local development and is expected to be live on the app by early October.
Call to Action:
To make sure your Contributor Card accurately reflects your achievements and contributions to the Rari Foundation, please describe yourself and your skills in the comments below. Our AI model will combine your input with the data we’ve scraped from the forum to generate a detailed bio that will appear on the back of your Contributor Card underneath your stats.
Additionally, please provide your wallet address so we can add you to the whitelist, enabling you to claim your Contributor Card once it’s live. This will ensure your bio highlights your contributions to the Rari Foundation and showcases your skills to the community.
We appreciate the support from the Rari Foundation and look forward to seeing your contributions on forum to assist with generating accurate bios for your Contributor Cards.
Best Regards,
daospace

Content: I’m excited about this proposal. I like that it aims to bring revenue back to the DAO and provides a simple way for artists and creators to mint NFTs, which should boost activity on Rari Chain. I also like the idea of the point system as well, and that points will be converted into $RARI, and that incentives are provided for locking RARI, such as increasing visibility for drops and point earning potential.

I love that you add links to Rari in every episode description. Would be super cool to see a small insert in the middle of the episodes to talk a bit more about Rari
Also, I was thinking of this:

We engaged with various projects, fostering potential collaborations and partnerships to further Rarible’s ecosystem.
I’m wondering if there have been any successful collaborations that have emerged from the twitter spaces. Or projects considering deploying on Rari after participating in these episodes or joining as listeners.

by jarisjames - No Role
Posted on: Nov. 28, 2023, 10:51 a.m.
Content: Absolutely, the idea is to work very closely in tandem with Rari Foundation members to provide/receive regular updates on the progress of the campaign - we already have channels open with Jana, Xenia, Addie and are open to everyone who is interested. We’ll discuss campaigns, results and content on a regular basis. This includes working on high level technical content together to ensure accuracy and but also that it’s easily digestible as well.
The content will be released on YouTube, Spotify, and Pods and will be promoting the content via our Twitter networks. We’ll be standing up any distribution channels that don’t exist at the moment for Rari.
The podcast will consist of roundtable discussions with well-established projects to discuss real-world NFT use cases, and each project within the roundtable will share tweets prior to the actual event to amplify engagement.

Content: Next Steps (All delegates were allowlisted)
Delegates register their Twitter names at https://www.idriss.xyz/ and go to IDriss Dashboard to enable reverse record (it will make their Twitter show up instead of the wallet address in places like the delegate dashboard)
Their devs integrate this in the UI (several lines of code): GitHub - idriss-crypto/ts-library: Library for integrating IDriss into your project.

DAOlationships - Creator Economy Working Group Proposal
by jarisjames - No Role
Posted on: Nov. 17, 2023, 1:44 p.m.
Content: Authors: @Crown, @jarisjames, @Wednesday, @Melasin.eth
Abstract
This proposal outlines a strategic collaboration between the Rari Foundation and OSPN - formerly known as DAOlationships, a community that creates content as a public good. We’re focusing on enhancing community engagement through a decentralized creator economy. The initiative involves launching a hybrid roundtable podcast and Twitter space titled “Beyond PFPs,” utilizing Huddle 01 for video format and the Rari Foundation Twitter for live community interaction. This approach aims to explore the diverse applications of Rarible’s open source NFT protocol in an engaging, multimedia format, highlighting real-world NFT use cases.
Motivation
While NFTs are often seen primarily as digital collectibles or profile pictures, their potential reaches far into various sectors. Our podcast will introduce a range of innovative applications, such as tokenizing real estate deeds on the blockchain as one of many examples. We aim to engage with projects across different industries, suggesting creative ways to use Rarible’s open source NFT protocol. Topics could include digital identity verification, enhancing supply chain transparency, or creating unique digital experiences in art and entertainment. These discussions are designed to broaden the understanding of NFTs, showcasing their versatility and potential impact in numerous fields.
We aim to elevate community engagement and promote Rarible’s open source NFT protocol through innovative content delivery. The “Beyond PFPs” podcast will also serve as a business development tool to inspire guests to create real-world NFT use cases, advancing the space through the Rarible protocol.
Rationale
This collaboration aligns with the Rari Foundation’s values, introducing a novel approach to content creation in the Web 3 space. It offers an opportunity to showcase real-world applications of NFTs, encouraging guests to develop NFT projects using the Rarible Protocol. This strategy aims to enhance community knowledge while fostering practical innovation in the NFT space.
Key Terms
OSPN - Open Source Peoples Network, formerly known as DAOlationships: A Decentralized Creator Economy focused on producing content as a public good.
“Beyond PFPs” Podcast: A multimedia exploration of NFT use cases beyond profile pictures, hosted on various platforms, such as YouTube, Twitter Spaces, Spotify, Pods 2 (web 3 alternative to Spotify).
Specifications
The podcast will utilize web 3 and traditional media platforms, offering a rich, interactive experience. Key elements include:
Podcast Content Strategy: Development of a comprehensive plan for episode themes, guest interviews, and a publication schedule, focusing on diverse perspectives related to the Rarible Protocol and real-world NFT applications.
Hybrid Podcast/Twitter Space: Hosting the podcast in a video format on Huddle 01 , combined with live Twitter Spaces for real-time community engagement.
YouTube, Spotify, and Pods Integration: Will create a YouTube account for video uploads, a dedicated Spotify account, and utilizing Pods 2 for audio content, ensuring accessibility across various media channels.
Sponsorship and Revenue Sharing: Actively seeking sponsors for the podcast, so we can become self sustainable, and continue to create content for the Rari Foundation after the duration of this campaign.
Quality Assurance in Production: Adhering to high production standards for both audio and video content, with regular review sessions for continuous improvement.
Promotion Strategy: Coordinated promotion across social media, crypto communities, and other relevant channels, leveraging organic sharing and the networks of both Rarible and DAOlationships.
Steps to Implement
Set up necessary channels on platforms like YouTube, Spotify, and Pods.
Co-create a podcast content plan aligned with the Rari Foundation’s values and focusing on real-world NFT applications.
Execute podcast production in both video and audio formats.
Co-promote and share podcast episodes across various channels.
Timeline
Start Date: Begin Research/Scheduling in December, and begin producing content in January.
Milestones:
Create all necessary channels: YouTube, Spotifiy, Pods
Create the branding for “Beyond PFPs”
Create the Schedule for the 1 st month of the Podcast ( 4 Episodes)
Book guests for one episode per week, 4 episodes per month
Create a Graphic promoting each episode. 1 per week
Release at least 2 tweets per week from the Rari Foundation & DAOlationships twitter account
Host 4 episodes per month, 1 per week
Edit 4 episodes per month, 1 per week
Upload 1 episode to YouTube, & Spotify per week, 4 per month
Completion Date: 3 Months.
Overall Cost
The total cost for this partnership is estimated at 6 , 000 RARI, covering content creation, social media management, research, video editing, graphic design, operations, and bounties for social listening to assist in landing notable guests.
To ensure accountability and alignment with project milestones, we propose utilizing the grant framework of Hedgey Finance, a free open-source tool for time-locked token distribution. This approach will allocate locked RARI tokens, which can be revoked by the DAO if necessary. Additionally, a condition will be coded into the grant agreement to unlock portions of the RARI tokens as specific milestones are achieved. This method ensures that the funds are used efficiently and in accordance with the progress of the project, providing a transparent and secure way to manage the grant.

I was looking at the milestones and was wondering if the team could implement written content as well. You could set up a Mirror page where folks could go see short blog posts — more like summaries — of these video contents. As a bonus, it is more web3 inclined (that’s if you decide to use Mirror)
Only bringing this up for those that prefer written content. Asides that, I am in total support of this proposal.
