Nomination Statement
Back in May of 2021 , I made a commitment to this community to be in service of every ape. My life, like so many of ours, has not been the same since. I’m honored and so proud to be part of the best community in the world, beyond grateful we have the opportunity to take the next step with Apecoin DAO, and I am so FAWKING excited to announce I am running to support each of you
Motivation
Serving on the council for each of you is something that I have to do in my heart. This is something I feel in my bones. Above all I know apes can’t read, so I’ll keep it short.
Rationale
I’m a founder who’s been through 500 Startups and YC. I left web 2 to learn more about DAOs and never went back. I’m an unofficial ambassador for Bored Apes and crypto, an active Apecoin DAO participant and currently one of the largest delegates.
Specifications.
I got into bitcoin nearly a decade ago because I was desperate for a better solution for my family in El Salvador. Less than 10 years later, it is now the currency of the nation. You will be shocked by how much can happen in our lifetimes. I am bringing that decade of crypto memories and experience plus my professional expertise and network from web 2 .
*Alumnus of 500 Startups, YCombinator, and led a tech accelerator program. I left web 2 to research DAOs and never returned.
*Produced the OhhShiny Show on Twitter spaces where I brought together the best builders across the space on a daily basis for 120 + episodes.
*Personally welcomed thousands of apes into the club. So far I’ve traveled to meet with the ape community in Miami, Chicago, London, New York, and all across California (Los Angeles, Venice, Long Beach, Oakland, San Francisco).
*When Apecoin DAO started, I focused on onboarding the community and helping people sign up for their usernames on discourse. I became one of the top delegates. I represented ApeCoin at the ETH SF event and spent time motivating teams to build within the ecosystem.
*Founder of Orange DAO; first a community of apes with orange backgrounds, but then we quickly grew to include any NFT project with an orange background, therefore creating one of the early cross NFT communities…
Concluding Statement
I have earned the trust, respect, and love of many in the web 3 community by leading with an open heart, showing up every day, and honoring the values and traditions we hold closely. We have lots of heavy lifting to set the foundation for those who may come after us, but I know one thing… Apes Together Strong!
